This generation have a unique privilege. We get to live through history, record it without editorial restriction and say we couldn't stop what you were doing, but we knew it was bollocks at the time and we said so and explained why. In an age where history turns over in weeks that is quite the thing.
No wonder political parties wanted the online manifestation of their culture to be tribal.
